UPDATE: November 29th, 2020
Hopefully you are enjoying this time of Thanksgiving! Just a quick update and reminder. We are aware of the increase in positive cases in our county and continue to monitor the situation as it pertains to our district. At this time, we are not making any changes to our operations, and will welcome all in-person students back to campus on Monday, 11/30. However, if you have traveled out of the area or have had company from out of the area, we encourage you to use cautious judgment upon your return. For some, this may mean for you to self-quarantine for the first two weeks we return. This would be the safest means to NOT spread the virus from your potential exposure(s). If you choose this route, please communicate with your school office and our Health Services staff can provide you with guidance on this. If you have any questions, please contact Chris Harris at charris@yrekausd.net.
UPDATE: November 16th, 2020
Attached is a press release announcing Siskiyou County is moving to the Purple (most restrictive) Tier. We are continuing to monitor this situation, but for the time being, we will continue with our current operations. We are evaluating what, if any, adjustments we will make in the near future, as well as after vacation.
Please continue to practice safe guards such as social distancing, staying away from large groups, washing hands frequently and staying home when you feel ill. Once again, the goal is to stop the spread, so please do your part by doing so.
If you have questions, please contact your school office or Chris Harris directly at charris@yrekausd.net. Thank you.
